I was born in Ethiopia, then moved to Minnesota at age 2 and I stayed through college. I then moved to Los Angeles to study space physics at UCLA (and also get away from Minnesota winters).

Currently, I am studying magnetic reconnection in the tail, and the relationship between steady state reconnection and storms.

In my free time I enjoy digital painting, watching movies, reading manga and playing soccer.
